Scotland and Italy had their first rugby encounter in 1996 at BT Murrayfield. Since then, the two sides have battled on the playing field 34 times with Scotland winning 26 matches and Italy 8. Scotland currently hold the record for the longest winning streak between the two teams which spans from 2015 to present day!

The Italian side currently hold 14th place in the world rankings which puts them just below Samoa (13th) and slightly above Spain (15th).

In 2022 a new trophy was established between the two teams named the Cuttitta Cup which commemorates Massimo Cuttitta; a former Italy Captain and Scotland Scrum Coach. Will it remain in the hands of team Scotland or make its debut on Italian soil… only time will tell!

The atmosphere at these matches is always a special one and this will be reflected in our Hospitality Suites by our match day speakers who will provide plenty of good natured fun for all our guests to enjoy.

Our Murrayfield Boxes are the only facility at BT Murrayfield with views over the pitch and direct access to your padded seats in the stadium. Come and go throughout the match and enjoy some drinks and refreshments during half time. You can even watch the match from the comfort (and warmth) of the box if you prefer.
We have 10 boxes and each has an exclusive host to look after you and your guests. They accommodate up to 14 seated, or up to 20 standing.
